| Richard Berget is a musician, and evangelist. He and his family have been led by the Lord to establish The High Place Retreat in Florence, MS so that saints can rest and worship at the feet of Jesus and receive His blessings. He has ministered across America and around the world. The High Place was acquired from The Mississippi District Church of the Nazarene back in September of 2001. The 35-acre retreat has been in operation for over 18 years with names such as "Camp Lancaster", "The Pines", & "Twin Oaks". Thousands of campers have many fond memories of this special place. Lives are still being touched here. The Lord gave the vision of a retreat over 25 years ago to its present owner/director, Richard "Butch" Berget. After a time in prayer, Richard was strongly impressed that God wanted the retreat named "The High Place," as found in First Samuel Chapters 9 and 10 . We are giving our lives to help fulfill the Lord's plan and destiny for this beautiful place.
